Bhavesh T. Joshi BSc. Ost Dip. TCM Acup. Ayurveda (Dip), NLP Director & Principal
Bhavesh qualified as an Osteopath from the British School of Osteopathy and has been practising and lecturing for nearly 20 years. He is the Principal of the London School of Massage which was set up in 1994.
He was the Clinical Director and a Senior lecturer at the College of Osteopaths (2000) as well as holding the post of Senior Lecturer (Applied Anatomy) and Clinical Supervisor at the London School of Osteopathy (1995 - 2000). He has also worked for the British School of Osteopathy as a "Demonstrator in Anatomy", lecturing to Osteopathic students at the Royal College of Surgeons.
He is a qualified Assessor and Internal Verifier for the various examination boards as well as attaining his teacher training qualifications.
Bhavesh is also a qualified NLP Pactitioner, Traditional Chinese Acupuncturist and has trained in Ayurvedic treatments and massage techniques in Central and South India.
He is a gifted teacher who has a knack of making subjects easy and understandable as well as helping individuals reaslise their full potential.
He teaches, and is involved with most of the courses including,Anatomy, Physiology & Holistic Massage, Sports Injuries & Massage, Advanced Bodywork, Indian Head Massage and Ayurvedic Massage.
Christine is a Pregnancy Massage, Baby Yoga and Baby / Infant Massage therapist who successfully runs her own clinic in North London alongside her husband. She originally trained in Thailand where she discovered the importance of regular massage and a hands on approach towards teaching. After training in Thai Massage , Christine then decided to specialise in Deep Tissue and Pregnancy Massage and has spent the last five years becoming a specialist in these fields and holding regular Baby / Infant Massage and Baby Yoga classes alongside the London Mothers Club.
Christine teaches the Infant & Baby Massage Diploma & Baby Yoga Diploma's as well as workshops on Pregnancy & Labour Massage
Mark Embley: BSc. Sports Science, ITEC Holistic & Therapeutic Massage
Mark initially trained in San Antonio, Texas as a Physical Education teacher with a bachelors’ Degree in Exercise & Sports Science before qualifying as a Massage Therapist and Bodyworker.
Having realised the benefits of manual therapy through personal injury and experience, he gained first hand experience and exposure to the affects of acupuncture, Reiki, and holistic massage. It was at this point he realised the true benefit of Complementary Therapies.
Since then, Mark has attained an ITEC diploma in Anatomy, Physiology & Body Massage, F.A. Coaching Awards, and status as a Personal Trainer.
He runs his own private clinic treating a variety of clients ranging fom Sports Injuries, to Coaching and Body Massage.
Tracie D'Souza BSc. OT, ITEC Holistic & Therapeutic Massage, Reflexology, Hot Stone Massage
Tracie qualified as an Occupational Therapist (OT) and gained her BSc. (Hons.) degree in 1998. She recently managed the Occupational Therapy service, covering two hospital sites for Peninsula Health in Melbourne, Australia.
Tracie practiced as an O.T. in a number of fields including long term and acute mental health, hospital settings such as surgery, orthopedics and medicine and then returned full circle to Social Services until finally setting up as an independent practitioner. Her current speciality is oncology and palliative care.
This special interest led her to look into becoming a more holistic practitioner where she completed courses in ITEC Holistic Massage, Sports Massage, Indian Head Massage and Reflexology as well as completing and practicing Reiki, Hot Stone Therapy and Deep Tissue Massage. She is also a student fieldwork educator and mentor to Occupational Therapy students endeavoring to become qualified practitioners and tries to keep her knowledge and practice in all studied therapies up to date.
She has now extended her role to include that of a Corporate Trainer, working for London School of Massage in offering the corporate world an introduction to the world of holistic therapies.
Tony started his early professional life as a senior automotive executive living and working in Sweden, Denmark, Czech Republic and Italy.
A spinal injury led him to develop a huge interest in holistic massage therapies over the last 6 years, in particular Aromatherapy and Reiki. After some reflection he decided to make a complete lifestyle change and dedicate the next phase of his life as a qualified holistic practitioner.
Following the achievement of his professional ITEC qualifications he began to practice privately in Italy and went on to qualify as a Reiki practitioner in which he achieved the Master Teacher level. Although content with his new way of life treating and healing people with a wide range of both emotional and physical problems he was keen to use his management and presentation skills to bring the rewards of his studies and treatment experience to a wider audience. He is committed to spreading the added value and enhancement a qualified knowledge can bring to all forms and styles of holistic therapy.
Tony is qualified as a clinical practitioner of Manual Lymphatic Drainage through the world renowned Vodder school. This means he can offer an exceptional level of detail and expert tutoring in our own FHT Manual Lymphatic Drainage course.
Tony teaches ITEC Body Massage, Aromatherapy, Reiki and Lymphatic Drainage Massage courses.
Shereena qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist from Brunel University.
She currently practises at a number of busy clinics as well as working as a Specialist Occupational Health Physiotherapist for the BBC, The Financial Times and Newham General University NHS Hospital.
In her work, she has also been involved in the treatment of the Brunel Hurricane Netball squad as well as the Thames Rowing Club.
Throughout her working experience, she realised her passion lay within the realms of musculoskeletal treatments and utilises the manual therapy techniques of Mulligan, Maitland and McMullen as well as Sports Massage techniques and Deep Tissue Massage in the treatment of her clients.
Shereena teaches on the ITEC Sports Injuries & Massage Diploma as well as the FHT Deep Tissue Massage course.
She is also qualified in Clinical Acupuncture and Pilates for Physiotherapists (both CSP Accredited).
Yogesh Dave BSc. ITEC Holistic & Therapeutic Massage & Indian head Massage
Yogesh initially trained and qualified to work within the Pharmaceutical Industry in the East Midlands region.
Always having an interest in the human body, he first went onto lecture to groups of students in Human Anatomy before studying the ITEC diploma in Anatomy, Physiology & Body Massage. Fired up by his thirst for knowledge he continued his studying with further training in ITEC Sports Massage and Injuries and ITEC Indian Head Massage Diploma.
He is a qualified Assessor and Internal Verifier for the various awarding bodies.
He runs his busy practice from his hometown in Knighton, Leicestershire.
He teaches the diploma courses in Anatomy, Physiology & Holistic Massage, Sports Injuries and Indian Head Massage.
Her journey began in the northern hills of Chiang Mai over a decade ago where she studied under the guidance of Master of Thai Massage, Chongkol Setthakorn, at the Institute of Thai Massage, receiving certification in the highest Levels of Traditional Thai Massage, Nuad Borarn (Northern Style). She studied extensively one-to-one with Master Lek Chaiya where she received certification in Traditional Herbal Therapy and "Jap-Sen", Nerve Touch Massage (Southern Style). She has also trained at Wat Po, Bangkok, the TMC School of Chiang Mai and with a traditional Lanna Teacher.
Francesca teaches Thai Yoga Massage and oriental therapies in Europe, South Africa & Thailand in conjunction with running Shen Mantra and private Spa Training. She is one of the very few Teachers worldwide and outside of Thailand to have been accredited and approved to teach by the Lanna Thai Medical Federation & Ministry of Health.
She is Co-Founder of the Italian Federation of Traditional Thai Massage, President of the International Thai Study Commission and is currently working with the Thai Ministry to regulate the practice and teaching of Thai Massage outside of Thailand.
Arvin began his career in the medical field in 1995 and manages a team of nurses in a busy NHS rehabilitation unit in London.
His interest in complementary health stemmed from seeing the effects of stress in his working environment leading him to qualify in Holistic Massage and Reflexology as well as other advanced body therapy techniques.
He then became passionate in the delivery of the massage ethos through education and incorporates his background on Anatomy & Physiology and Nursing in his lectures.
He also integrates varied methodologies in his own private practice as well as carrying out regular voluntary work within charities and the NHS.
Arvin teaches a variety of complementary therapies including ITEC Anatomy, Physiology and Holistic Massage as well as First Aid.
Christo graduated from Middlesex University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention. He has also received an award from the London Sports Institute honouring excellence in sports achievement.
During the course of his Academic study Christo had the opportunity to work alongside medical professionals in treating athletic injuries in a variety of sports at junior, collegiate and amateur level, including sports teams in the UK and the USA. He is a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and an Advanced Instructor with the register of exercise professionals UK.
He currently runs a busy practice and works with a number of sports teams managing musculoskeletal and soft tissue injuries.
He brings his wealth of knowledge to the school by teaching on the ITEC Sports Massage and Injuries course.
