This course in Dynamic Assisted Stretching has been designed to offer a FULL TABLE TOP stretching routine and sequence.
It will introduce the practitioners to a viariety of stretching methods as well as gentle mobilisation techniques to leave the client in a fully relaxed but refreshed state.
The treatment is carried out with the client fully clothed making them use their breath and including them in the therapy process.
It will combine different methods of stretching including, passive, dynamic and isometric stretching as well as gentle manipulations to the joints to provide a unique form of treatment.
On completion of this course, therapists have the opportunity to gain a fast track route to join Stretch Lab. Further details will be provided during the course.
What will I Learn on this Dynamic Assisted Stretching Course ...
This Dynamic Assisted Stretching course will systematically guide the practitioner through the theory of various types of stretching and and their application in a set sequence.
Learn the theory and clinical application of stretching
Understand the benefits of stretching
Know how to apply isometric, dynamic and passive stretches
Learn gentle passive mobilisation movements for main body joints
Begin to employ the clients breathing during the stretching process
Understand and appreciate the "end-feel" and "barrier" of streched tissue
Apprciate contraindications to stretching muscles and tissues
Learn a full table top sequence that can be used as a stand alone therapy or incorporated in smaller sections in a personalised treatment.
Students must hold an Ofqual accredited Level 3 Diploma in Massage including Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology - or equivalent, or higher.
Without an accredited Diploma, you may be able to attend this course or be able to join the CMA, IICT, or other professional body.
When submitting your Student Details form, you must also supply us with copies of your existing accredited qualifications to receive the course certificate. Supplying this information too late may result in your certificate being printed without the CMA, IGCT and IICT logos. Additional charges may be incurred to print the correct certificate.
