This Aromatherapy course is open to individuals who hold a valid Diploma Massage with Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology (Level 3 QCF or above)within the last 3 years.

Aromatherapy involves using the therapeutic benefits of Essential Oils and utilising these properties to produce massage blends, creams, lotions, sprays and vapours to produce their effects on the body.
We are now offering the theory element via online Zoom lectures.
Part 1) Online lectures via Zoom covering Aromatherapy theory (history, uses, essential oil safety, properties, blending, consultations and treatments)
Part 2) In house assessment preparation and final assessments

Aromatherapy is possibly the most versatile massage course and one which can be used by itself or integrated with other therapies and treatment modalities such as Sports Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Indian Head Massage & Reflexology.
Our Aromatherapy courses are taught by professional and practising Aromatherapists who are all trained above the taught level and who are passionate about the subject. Each Aromatherapy course lecturer will impart a wealth of information from their own massage practice as well as using accelerated training methods and NLP techniques to facilitate your learning of the subject.
This VTCT Aromatherapy course (Level 3, QCF) provides the firm foundation for the professional practice in Aromatherapy.
It is a well recognised qualification which on completion, will allow the practitioner to obtain full professional insurance and gain employment.
What will I Learn on this Aromatherapy Course ...
This Aromatherapy course will follow the VTCT Aromatherapy (Level 3 RCF) syllabus through formal lectures, practicals, home assignments and case studies.

History & development of Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy Course Prerequisites ...
Students must hold an accredited and approved Ofqual Level 3 Diploma in Body Massage with Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology (within the last 3 years).
Please make sure you have active/recent knowledge of a full massage routine.

Aromatherapy Massage Course Length...
This Aromatherapy course is taught as a fast track and intensive program.
It is covered over a total period of 6 days spaced over 2-3 months thus allowing you time to revise and complete your aromatherapy case studies.
There is home study and case history assignments which have to be completed in conjunction with the formal lectures and practicals.

Aromatherapy Course Exams ...
A practical assessment lasting 1 hour (on the last day of your course)
A multiple choice Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology Exam (if not already done in a previous ITEC qualification - within the last 3 years)
60 completed home case studies (thorough guidance given during lectures)
Assignments include:
1/Business Plan (if not already done in a previous ITEC qualification within the last 3 years)
2/Complementary Therapies (if not already done in a previous ITEC qualification within the last 3 years)
3/Providing Aromatherapy Treatments Assignment
Students have 6 months to complete their case studies and assignments from the start of the course.

With more than 1,200 approved centres, VTCT has an ever expanding list of centres throughout the UK and Ireland, with increasing international presence.
ITEC is a leading international specialist examination board, providing quality qualifications in Complementary Therapies, Sports & Fitness Training. It is approved as an Awarding Organisation (AO) in the UK. As such all QCF qualifications are approved on the Qualifications Credit Framework.
This course is ELCAS approved and those elegible can apply via the ELC scheme using provider nymber 11265.
The CNHC is the UK voluntary regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners that was set up with government support to protect the public by providing a UK voluntary register of complementary therapists. CHNC's register has been approved as an Accredited Register by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. This means CNHC has met the Professional Standards Authority's demanding standards.
The GCMT is the governing body for massage and soft tissue therapies that form all bodyworks and soft tissue techniques in the UK. We are a non-profit making body with the following aims and objectives.
It aims to:
- To define and influence educational standards in the field of soft tissue therapies.
- To act as a lobbying and pressure group in the areas of, education, regulation, insurance and employment.
- To cooperate collectively (e.g on commercial deals) for the benefit of our respective memberships.
- To share best practice and experience as PAs.
- To bring together, and initiate, research into soft tissue therapy.
Successful completion of this diploma course will provide you with the title of "Aromatherapist", and the knowledge and techniques needed to give a professional and safe Aromatherapy treatment.
