This course is deisgned to provide you with the fundamental knowledge and skills to offer an effective massage for cellulite.

This course is open to qualified massage therapists (Level 3 and above).

 About this Massage for Cellulite Course ...

This course in cellulite massage teaches practitioners a general understanding of how cellulite develops, the vascular and intercellular dysfunction that occurs within the tissue and the different grades.

With this knowledge, practitioners will have a better appreciation of how and why given massage techniques and strokes can be helpful and learn a solid routine to apply for various areas of the body.

 

 

 AWhat will I learn on this Massage for Cellulite Course ...

This course in cellulite massage will systemically guide you through the theory and practice of various massage strokes and techniques used in cellulite massage.

It will cover the following topics:

  • Understand what cellulite is
  • Risk factors for cellulite and it's 4 stages of development
  • Classification and different types of cellulite
  • Clinical assessment of cellulite
  • Cellulite massage sequence including
  • Provide a routine with multiple massage techniques and strokes

Massage for Cellulite Course Prerequisites ...

 

Students must hold an Ofqual accredited Level 3 Diploma in Massage including Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology - or equivalent, or higher for them to receive an accredited certificate.

 

Beginners without any prior experience will be able to attend the course, and will be able to receive a certificate of attendence only.

 

Without an accredited Diploma you may not be able to join the CMA, IGCT, or other professional body.

When submitting your Student Details form, you must also supply us with copies of your existing accredited qualifications to receive the course certificate. Supplying this information too late may result in your certificate being printed without the CMA and IGCT logos. Additional charges may be incurred to print the correct certificate.


What does accredited mean?

 

Accredited qualifications are those that are reviewed, recognised and monitored by regulatory bodies in order to make sure that they meet specific criteria and quality standards.

 

Current UK accrediting bodies are;

  1. Ofqual
  2. SQA
  3. CCEA
  4. DCELLS

Overseas Qualifications

If you have arrived in the UK from overseas and have existing qualifications, those qualifications may meet an acceptable standard in the UK. NARIC can provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to UK qualifications with a document called a ‘Statement of Comparability’.

You can also request an 'English Language Assessment' document, which may help determine your current level of English.
