The VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introductory teacher training course designed for anyone looking to start a career in teaching or training in the further education and skills sector. As part of this education course, you will complete three home-based assignments:
UET1 – Understanding Roles, Responsibilities and Relationships in Education and Training
Learn about the key responsibilities of a teacher or trainer and how to build effective professional relationships in the learning environment.
UET2 – Understanding and Using Inclusive Teaching and Learning Approaches in Education and Training
Develop the knowledge and skills to create inclusive lessons that engage and motivate learners. You will also plan, deliver and evaluate a short microteaching session.
UET5 – Understanding Assessment in Education and Training
Explore different methods of assessment, learn how to involve learners in the process and understand the importance of record keeping in education.
Your final assessment will be a microteaching session lasting between 15–30 minutes, where you will demonstrate your teaching skills on a subject of your choice. This practical exam can be scheduled once all assignments are complete and can be taken remotely over a live video session - simply email us to arrange a convinient date.
You will have up to one year to complete the VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Award in Education and Training, making it a flexible option for those balancing study with work or other commitments.
