To enrol on this Lomi Lomi Massage course, learners must hold an OFQUAL-accredited Level 3 Diploma in Massage, Sports Massage (or equivalent) that includes Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology.

Lomi Lomi Massage is a practical, hands-on training course for qualified massage therapists who want to learn the flowing, rhythmic and deeply relaxing techniques of traditional Hawaiian massage. This Lomi Lomi massage course introduces students to the history, philosophy and practical application of this unique full-body treatment, often known as Hawaiian massage, Aloha massage or loving hands massage.
The course combines theory with practical application, covering the traditional and spiritual background of Lomi Lomi, the principles of Huna, contraindications, client care and a full-body massage routine. Students will learn how to use long sweeping strokes, forearm techniques and continuous flowing movements to create a deeply relaxing and holistic massage experience.
Important note: Lomi Lomi Massage traditionally uses minimal draping to allow for long, flowing and continuous massage strokes across the body. During training, student modesty, dignity and comfort will always be preserved, and all practical work will be carried out with clear guidance, consent and professional boundaries.
This Lomi Lomi Massage course gives therapists the practical skills and confidence to deliver a flowing, holistic and deeply relaxing Hawaiian-inspired massage treatment that can be added to an existing massage practice.
NB: This massage technique uses minimal draping techniques. Therefore, wearing a bikini or swim briefs is highly recommended.
There are no formal exams for this Lomi Lomi Massage course.
In-class assessment and instructor feedback - ongoing evaluation of practical skills with real-time feedback to support learning and development. A CPD Certificate will be issued if the instructor believes the required competencies have been met.
