Bhavesh has been leading the London School of Massage for over 30 years, guiding it from a small training centre into one of the UK’s most respected schools for Complementary and Sports Massage Therapies. Since founding the school in 1994, he has supported more than 30,000 students from the UK and around the world in gaining the skills and confidence to build successful careers. Today, with over 30 diploma and professional development courses on offer, and a team of highly experienced lecturers, Bhavesh continues to inspire learners and drive the school forward.
Bhavesh qualified as an Osteopath from the British School of Osteopathy and has been practising and lecturing for over 30 years. Over the course of his career, he has held a number of senior academic and clinical positions, including Clinical Director and Senior Lecturer at the College of Osteopaths, Senior Lecturer in Applied Anatomy and Clinical Supervisor at the London School of Osteopathy, and Demonstrator in Anatomy at the British School of Osteopathy, where he lectured osteopathic students at the Royal College of Surgeons. In addition, he is a qualified Assessor, Internal Verifier, NLP Practitioner, and Traditional Chinese Acupuncturist, with specialist training in Ayurvedic massage techniques from Central and South India. This broad background underpins his teaching style, making complex subjects easy to understand and relevant to practice.
Always ahead of his time, Bhavesh pioneered “Fast Track and Intensive” massage courses in 1994, allowing students to qualify more quickly without compromising quality. This model has since been adopted by institutions nationwide, helping thousands of learners begin their careers sooner. His leadership and expertise have also been recognised internationally: he has judged massage competitions around the world and in July 2025, was appointed Vice-President of the World Massage Federation (Europe).
Alongside his work at the school, Bhavesh co-authored the popular book Secrets of Massage and has collaborated on innovative projects such as designing a new 3D massage chair with research specialists. His reputation has led to invitations to train sports therapists overseas, including those working with Olympic athletes in India. He is also the organiser of the UK Massage Championship, providing a national stage for therapists to showcase their skills, with the next event planned for 2025.
At the heart of Bhavesh’s career is a simple passion: helping students realise their potential. Whether teaching anatomy, guiding learners through their first massage course, or creating opportunities for graduates, his mission remains to empower individuals to succeed and to keep raising professional standards within the massage and wellness industry.
