Our History

How it All Started: London School of Massage

The London School of Massage was originally founded in 1994 under the name Body Basics School of Body Therapy, based in Stratford, East London. Responding to the increasing demand for professional, high-quality training in massage and complementary therapies, the school quickly gained recognition for its engaging and enjoyable teaching approach, alongside its exceptional practical training and strong focus on the effective application of therapeutic techniques.

This centrally located flagship centre enhanced our ability to serve students across the capital and beyond, marking a key milestone in our development. Today, London School of Massage stands as one of the UK’s most respected massage training providers, staying true to its original mission of excellence in education and commitment to the therapeutic arts.

Over the years, London School of Massage has grown far beyond its roots as a local training centre, earning national and international recognition for its contributions to the massage therapy profession. Our tutors have been invited as guest lecturers at prestigious international institutions, including the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports under the Sports Authority of India, where they have delivered advanced training in massage and sports massage therapy.
