Date Changes
Although exam dates are fixed, there may be occasions when dates have to be changed. Any changes will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
Location Changes
Although we endeavour to hold exams at the designated location, there may be times when the venue has to be changed. Any changes will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
Practical and Theory Groups
Students are allocated to Practical and Theory groups, which are scheduled throughout the exam day at different times. Group timings are usually published 1–2 weeks before the exam date, once confirmed by the VTCT (ITEC) Examiner.
Group Schedules
Although we always endeavour to keep students in their allocated group, VTCT (ITEC) requires students to be prepared to join an earlier group should a space become available. The benefit of this is that you may finish earlier. We ask that all students remain available on their mobile phones for the duration of the exam day.
What to Bring and Wear
All LSM students should be fully aware of what to bring and what to wear on the day, well in advance of the exam date. Non-LSM students or students transferring from other schools should liaise with their own school for the correct procedures.
Exam Results
The results of your Practical and Theory exams will usually be available 21–30 working days after the exam date.
Rescheduling / Postponing
Once a student has been enrolled onto an exam, any request to postpone or reschedule will be subject to an associated fee. This is usually the full cost of the ITEC exam fee.
Late Enrolment
Providing all assignments and case studies have been completed and approved, students can be enrolled onto an available exam up to 8 weeks before the exam date without charge. After this, a late enrolment fee will apply up to 1 week before the exam date. Please refer to the Additional Payments page for costs.
Sickness
If a student is unable to attend the exam due to illness, the exam can be rescheduled. If the student provides a formal doctor’s note, specialist’s note or discharge note, the re-enrolment fee will be reduced. Without formal evidence, the full re-enrolment fee will apply. Please refer to the Additional Payments page for costs.
Course Work: Case Studies / Assignments / Treatment Evidence
All mandatory coursework associated with the student’s course must be submitted and approved at least 1 week before the exam date. Students should refer to their coursework folders or course introduction pages for further information on coursework submission guidelines. Late submissions may incur additional fees. Please refer to the Additional Payments page for costs.
